ABOUT NDC, TATI & JANET

Nottingham Dance Collective.

NDC is the heart and soul of two local dance teachers in Nottingham, Tati and Janet. Together they have been running events and theatre shows for the community and beyond.

Meet Janet Rose: My first experience of belly dancing was attending a local class run by Gabriella Middleton. I went onto further develop my dance skills through attending a wide variety of workshops in Britain, Cairo and Berlin with; Liza Wedgwood, Bayda. Anne White, Candi and Khaled, Shalaby, Mona Mostafa, Randa Kamel and many more. I completed my Certificate of Education at Nottingham University, specialising in belly dance and personal development. I have also completed the Exercise to music (CYQ) certificate. I firmly believe that belly dance is a great confidence builder, of which I am proof, and I encourage students to find and develop their own special style. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and passing on my knowledge of the skills, culture and enjoyment of belly dancing to students.

I am delighted to be working with Tatiana, our first project the Theatre show Oba Oba Yalla  (dvd for sale) was a fantastic experience and it is something we will build on with future shows.   Watch this space!

Meet Tatiana Woolley: My first experince in Dance was back home, Brazil. My teacher got me completely hooked on it. I have always loved dance since I was so little I can't even remember! I have since moved to the UK and trained with the most amazing people, from local powerful teacher Gabriella Middleton to renown dancers from Egypt. I have expanded my love for the Brazilian dances too and have trained with local Brazilian teacher in the UK. I am also a lover of fitness and mental and physical well being, I have the Exercise to Music qualification and hold a couple of Zumba qualifications too. I have recently introduced Bellyrobics to the UK and I run some very successful classes in Nottingham. I also manage my own dance school in Nottingham: ABC Dance School and I love NDC and I love the dance community in Nottingham!  It is something that runs parallel to my believe that anyone can dance and dance make you alive!
